First Semester I-Movie Project Guidelines:
Develop a news report for a main newscast.
Second Semester Movie Project Guidelines:
Work with a group of 5 or 6 other students to write a short story to be filmed. The story can be original or adapted from a book. Write your script and storyline. Prepare your movie prompts and costumes. Make a detail plan, and film it. Use what you know about film editing with imovie to complete your project. Remember! ALL MUSIC MUST BE ORIGINAL BY YOU. Use garage band to create your sound track. Your movie may not be longer than 5 minutes. Don’t forget to include: titles, transitions, special video and sound effects, music, still images, and any other creative thing you can think of…
Interview Project Guidelines:
1. Interview an important person in history. Someone who has made a significant contribution to the world. You may choose from any subject, such as math, science, politics…
2. Research all you can about the person and write an interview script and a story line to be filmed. Include the questions and answers to be recorded.
3. The person you choose may be alive today or may be from the past.
4. You will work in a group to conduct the interview, then you will work on your own to edit the video tape.
5. You may dress like the person to make it more representative.
6. The interview must be at least 30 seconds long, and each individual video clip may not be longer than seven seconds in length.
7. In your edit, you must include: 2 titles, 2 sound clips, 2 transitions, 2 special effects, 1 photograph, and 1 voice over recording.
